The new album for Valentine’s Day: “Seduction – Sinatra Sings of Love”By Carsten WeidemannThose blue eyes that can look so sincerely like no others and yet remain mysterious. The smile that you simply can not escape – and this voice that broke countless hearts already: Frank Sinatra was a master in the art of seduction and could enchant people with his songs. It is not for nothing that he coined the archetype of the teen idol and heartbreaker, which only needs a song to make the impossible possible. The new album “Seduction – Sinatra Sings Of Love” introduces 22 songs in the high art of seduction. “I Get A Kick Out Of You”, “Some Enchanted Evening”, “Teach Me Tonight”, “Prisoner Of Love” and many other extraordinary songs show us the rules of flirtation and seduction.Beyond champagne and candlelight, “Seduction – Sinatra Sings Of Love” offers high-quality enjoyment, as the majority of the recordings come from albums and sessions that are among the best moments of the genius Sinatra. The track listing is framed by “Prisoner Of Love” and “That’s All” from the album “Sinatra & Strings” (1962), on which Sinatra laid down romantic ballads and heartwarming love songs with the gifted arranger Don Costa. Nine other songs were created in the fruitful collaboration with Nelson Riddle, which today is considered one of the best collaborations of all time. Among them are songs like “I’ve Got Under My Skin”, “Witchcraft” and “It Had To Be You”. Another highlight is an alternative, as yet unpublished version of the Rodgers & Hart standard “My Funny Valentine”, one of the most intense Love songs that were ever written.
